Bringing home a puppy is the beginning of a lifelong relationship, but the first few months can also be some of the busiest. Puppies are learning where to go potty, how to walk on a leash, how to respond to their name and commands, and how to feel comfortable in an entirely new world.
For families who would like their puppy to have more preparation before coming home, Elite White Goldens offers White Golden Retriever puppy training designed to establish important skills and routines early in life.
Our training programs give puppies additional time to learn, mature, and experience the sights, sounds, routines, and expectations they will encounter as family companions. Because we spend so much individual time with each puppy, we accept only two puppies into training at a time, making openings limited.
Golden Retrievers are intelligent, social dogs that enjoy learning and connecting with their people. Early training helps channel those natural qualities into skills that can make the transition into a new home smoother.
Our approach begins with everyday behaviors puppies will use throughout their lives. Depending on the selected program, training may include:
These experiences help puppies become familiar with routines and expectations before joining their new families.
Our Silver puppy training package builds on foundational training, providing puppies with additional time to practice important everyday skills.
Silver training includes extended potty training, extended leash and harness work, crate familiarization, enhanced responsiveness to verbal commands, travel etiquette, and navigating stairs and doorways.
Puppies completing the Silver program remain with us until approximately 16 weeks of age. This additional time gives us the opportunity to continue building consistency while the puppy grows and develops.
The Silver program currently requires a $2,000 deposit, and the cost of the puppy is separate from the training package.

For families looking for more advanced preparation, our Gold puppy training package builds on the foundations covered in earlier training levels and expands into experiences outside the home.
Gold puppies receive additional preparation involving public behavior, store visits, travel confidence, and social skills. These experiences introduce puppies to a wider variety of environments and help them practice appropriate behavior while encountering new people, places, sounds, and situations.
Puppies completing Gold training remain with us until approximately 24 weeks of age.
Like Silver training, the Gold package currently requires a $2,000 deposit, with the puppy purchased separately.
One of the most rewarding parts of our training program is seeing where our puppies go after completing it.
Elite White Goldens has had puppies complete training packages before joining families throughout the United States and Canada. Our trained puppies have gone to homes in California, Georgia, Michigan, New York, Wisconsin, Washington, Carolinas, Maine, Texas, New Jersey, Ohio, Massachusetts, Colorado, Virginia, West Virginia, Louisiana, Missouri, Florida, Puerto Rico, and beyond.
Some have continued their journeys into therapy and service dog roles, providing meaningful companionship and assistance to their families.
Knowing that the foundation established here can become part of something even bigger is incredibly special to us.
For families interested in preparing their puppy for future service or therapy work, service dog pre-training can be incorporated into our Silver and Gold Training Packages for appropriate puppies.
As part of these training packages, puppies may receive early preparation designed to support future roles involving PTSD support, therapy, mobility assistance, or psychiatric service work. This can include exposure to different environments while practicing focus, patience, adaptability, socialization, and other foundational behaviors.
It is important to understand that this preparation is not complete service dog certification or specialized service training. Additional training must be completed with the owner through an approved training facility.
Our goal is to give an appropriate puppy a strong foundation through our Silver or Gold Training Package that can help prepare them for the more specialized training that may come next.

Training a puppy well takes time, consistency, patience, and plenty of individual attention. That is exactly why we limit our program to two puppies at a time.
Keeping the program small allows us to spend meaningful time working with each puppy and observing their individual personality, progress, and needs. It also means training openings can fill quickly, particularly when upcoming litters are being reserved.
If you are considering a White Golden Retriever puppy and would like to add training before your puppy comes home, we encourage you to discuss it with us early in the reservation process.
