CPR is an absolute invaluable tool for any pet owner. There is only a small window in which this procedure can be effective, and that window is immediately. We have used CPR on several of our Golden Retrievers over our 27 years raising them. I’m here to tell you “IT WORKS”. We as pet owners owe it to our pets to learn CPR to help them in the event they should need to be resuscitated. That certainly does not mean an Emergency Veterinary Run is not going to happen, but it does potentially give your pet a chance to make it to that office.
